We’ve been taught to forget our ancestors.
We’ve been taught we are alone, and it’s all up to us.
We’ve been taught that there is no real place for us, not anywhere…
But give us credit: we’ve truly done our best adapting to these principles. So did our parents, and their parents. For quite some time, for some of us, we’ve come from lineages that have adapted to the sense that there is no real sense of lineage, that we don’t come from anywhere, and there is no cloud of witnesses supporting us.
When I gather advanced students of constellations work, we live a different story together. For a few months, we are not only in the company of our own ancestors, but we are in the company of each others’ ancestors, as well. The teacher’s and the students’ ancestors, all together, supporting us, healing us, leading us, teaching us, urging us into the life for which we’ve been born. We’re not on our own! Not as individuals, and not even as a group of learners. They are there, guiding us every minute….
Another True Story: A client contacts me because she’s struggling with almost everything: her family life is full of conflict, her work is unsatisfying, and she can’t find inspiration to reach for what she really needs. I ask her about her lineages. One half comes from Europe. She knows all about them; she is delighted to share the stories, and they are terrific stories that I enjoy hearing.
What about the other half, I ask? With reluctance, she shares that they come from a Central American country. She doesn’t like them very much – indeed, her whole life she’s been taught to look down on them, to aspire to be like the Europeans, and to avoid letting people know about the rest of her heritage.
In constellations, we are always on the lookout for what’s been excluded, so the constellation I set up is the last thing she wants – we will focus on the Central American ancestors. She is pretty irritated with me! But she’s also curious – why am I not disparaging this lineage, why do I keep sharing my admiration for these people? It’s confounding for her!
But about thirty minutes in, something softens. She starts to see love and strength and pride in these people that she was never able to imagine before. Is this part of who she is? Can they support her in becoming more of who she is meant to be?…
Now is the time to consider my two-month advanced training, saving $250 thru Friday. It includes two 4-day Residencies in Oakland, CA, USA, personal coaching with me, and online learning as well. It is oriented toward creating a powerful and kind collegial community that nurtures everyone forward in their constellation learning. It starts in the middle of March.
What if you are unable to get to all the dates? In our busy lives, I don’t expect every student to be able to get to every date. That’s why I record everything, and students have access to all of it. If you think you might miss too much but you are still really interested, contact me so we can see if it can still work somehow.
Check out the details and consider becoming part of this advanced work. Go to Advanced Constellations Training, and contact me if you have any questions.
