From time immemorial, our forebears have gone out to the desert for wisdom, atonement, clarity, and courage. We are the living ones now. Can we meet them again in the desert?
We’ve been gathering as the Western Constellations Intensive (originally, the West Coast Constellations Intensive until our move to New Mexico last year), for eight years now. We have done this through a pandemic (online), through wars and natural disasters, and through movements for racial and colonial reckoning. We’ve also gathered through our own life challenges: losses, illnesses, facing our complex PTSD, vocational and spiritual discernment, and even deaths.
Systemic Constellations gives us a powerful way to gather around these inevitable life questions and challenges. We stand in solidarity among the living and the dead to include all that’s been excluded and bow to the larger forces that shape our lives.
Now we do so in the fragile, resilient, and unsentimental desert of the American Southwest. We don’t come here for luxuries, mostly. We come here for the simplicity, the rawness, and the inescapable presence of time and timelessness. We meet our ancestors here. We hope you come, too.
